These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Savi Tools platform. This document is the canonical source — the in-app Terms page and our translated versions are generated from this file.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Savi Tools platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Savi Gurus LLC, a Missouri limited liability company doing business as Savi Tools ("Savi Tools," "we," "us," or "our"), with its principal place of business at 101 W Argonne Dr. #56, Kirkwood, MO 63122.
2. Description of Service
Savi Tools provides web and mobile financial tools for self-employed individuals and small teams in the United States, including:
- Free tools — Self-Employment Readiness Assessment, Rate Calculator, and Business Registration Guidance
- Solo subscription — Tax Set-Aside Calculator, expense and mileage tracking, client and invoice management, and accounting integrations
- Growth and Team subscriptions — All Solo features plus team approval workflows, role management, and reimbursable expense routing for small groups
The Service is currently offered to residents of the United States only.
3. Important Disclaimer — Estimates Only
The Service provides financial estimates only. It does not provide tax advice, legal advice, or accounting advice.
Outputs produced by the Service — including tax estimates, quarterly payment schedules, and readiness scores — are approximations based on user-provided inputs and generalized tax rate information. They are not a substitute for professional tax advice.
You should consult a qualified tax professional before making any tax payment decisions based on outputs from this Service.
Savi Tools is not responsible for any penalties, underpayments, overpayments, or financial losses arising from reliance on Service outputs.
4. Account Registration
4.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of the United States to use the paid features of the Service.
4.2 Account Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account and to keep that information updated.
4.3 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Subscription Terms
5.1 Pricing
Savi Tools is offered in three paid tiers, all priced in US dollars and billed monthly:
- Solo — $9.00 per month
- Growth — $19.00 per month
- Team — $29.00 per month
Current pricing is also displayed on our subscription page and may be updated from time to time. Any price change will apply to your account starting at the next billing period after the change is announced, with at least 30 days' notice by email.
5.2 Free Trial
New subscribers receive a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid monthly subscription at the tier you selected unless you cancel before the trial ends.
5.3 Billing
Subscription fees are billed monthly on the anniversary of your subscription start date. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
5.4 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will retry your payment method up to four times over a 14-day period. If payment is not successfully collected after four attempts, your subscription will be automatically cancelled and your access to paid features will be revoked.
5.5 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription will not renew at the next billing date.
- You will retain full access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
- At the end of that billing period, your account will revert to the free tier — you continue to have access to the free tools and your historical data, but paid features are disabled.
5.6 Refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable. Because you can cancel at any time and continue using paid features through the end of the billing period you have already paid for, we do not issue partial or pro-rata refunds for unused days in a billing period.
If you believe you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after a confirmed cancellation — please contact support@getsavitools.com within 30 days of the charge and we will investigate and refund any legitimate billing error promptly.
Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable refund right you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
- Submit false or misleading financial data with intent to manipulate outputs
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without written authorization
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to software, text, scoring algorithms, and design — are the exclusive property of Savi Tools and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your use of the Service does not grant you any ownership rights in any Service content.
8. User Data
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You retain ownership of the financial data you input into the Service. You grant Savi Tools a limited license to process that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
9.1 Service Provided As-Is
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Savi Tools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of business opportunity, tax penalties, or financial losses arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if Savi Tools has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event will the total aggregate liability of Savi Tools to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to Savi Tools for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100.00).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you. In those jurisdictions, the liability of Savi Tools is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9.3 Accuracy of Estimates
Tax calculation outputs are estimates only. Savi Tools does not warrant that any estimate produced by the Service will match your actual tax liability as determined by the IRS or any state tax authority.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Savi Tools and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.
11. Modifications to the Service and Terms
We reserve the right to modify the Service or these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days notice via email before any material change to these Terms takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
13.2 Informal Resolution First
Before filing any formal claim, you and Savi Tools agree to try in good faith to resolve any dispute informally for at least 60 days. Either side may begin the informal resolution process by sending a written notice of dispute to the other side. Notice to Savi Tools should be sent to support@getsavitools.com with the subject line "Notice of Dispute" and should describe the nature of the dispute and the relief sought.
13.3 Venue
If informal resolution does not resolve the dispute, you and Savi Tools agree that any action arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in St. Louis County, Missouri, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
13.4 No Class Actions
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and Savi Tools agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. If for any reason a claim proceeds in court rather than as an individual proceeding, you and Savi Tools each waive any right to a jury trial.
13.5 Statute of Limitations
Any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service must be filed within one (1) year after such claim arose; otherwise, the claim is permanently barred, except where a longer period is required by applicable law.
