What's new in Savi Tools
Release notes for the Savi Tools web app and the mobile apps for iOS and Android.
The old screens are gone
Web- Free & PaidThe old receipts list, invoice list, new invoice page and Account page open the new screens now. Money in gained the download the old list had, and the IRS check for your employer ID moved into Account with everything else.
The nonprofit pair
Web- PaidA nonprofit sees two more doors under More: donation receipts, and the 990 planner. A business never sees them. Both pages now match the rest of the app.
Miles and Taxes, one level down
Web- Free & PaidThe MileIQ import lives under Miles, and the tax set-aside calculator lives under Taxes. Who can open them, and the numbers they show, are unchanged. The old addresses open the new ones.
An invoice's own page
Web- PaidAn invoice opens under Money in now, with the buttons it always had: send it, send it again, mark it paid, download it, void it. The old invoice addresses open the new page, so nothing that pointed at an invoice breaks.

The new frame
Web- Free & PaidThe menu and the page around every screen match the new design. The menu is navy, with the five words at the top and More at the bottom. Your name sits at the top right and holds Account, language, What's new, Support and Sign out.
Bank
Web- PaidBank accounts is Bank, with the lines waiting to be sorted counted at the top; Bank transactions is Bank lines, the same review with the tabs as a sentence.
Goals
Web- PaidGoals keeps its vision, outcomes and weekly check-ins, in the same page shell as the rest of the app.
Bills to pay
Web- PaidMoney owed is Bills to pay: what you owe as sentences with one button each, a bill you can drop in and have read for you, and the W-9s January needs on the same page.
Hours
Web- PaidTimekeeping is Hours: the same week grid, with this week, the hours not yet on an invoice, and the year at the top, and Jobs and tasks one door away.

People
Web- PaidClients is People: each person or business as one line with what they owe you, adding someone as a name and an email, and their own page with what you know about them and what you have sent. The card scanner lives under it.
Crew
Web- PaidTeam Management, the Approval Queue and Scheduling are one door, Crew: the people who work with you as rows, inviting as one email and a plain-words role, what they sent you as sentences with Approve and Send back, and the schedule with its calendar kept.
The simple menu for everyone, and where things moved
Web- Free & PaidFive words and More is now the menu for every account. The sidebar customizer is gone; the menu grows from what you use.

Your accountant, and the accountant’s workbench
Web- PaidYour accountant has its own screen: what they can see, what they can do, every change they make as a sentence, a note to them, and one field to invite one. A note from your accountant lands on This week as a question with one button.
- PaidFor accountants: My clients is a table sorted by what needs you, each client opens on a workbench with the period strip and the year by GL account beside the Schedule C line, a month closes only when its queue is empty, and Note to client asks the owner one question from inside the product.
Account as sentences, and one sheet for upgrading
Web- Free & PaidAccount is six tabs sorted by who the setting is for. Every setting reads as a sentence with its value, and Change opens one small form. The scariest ones, under Your books, arrive with your accountant’s name attached.

Taxes as an answer, and How you're doing
Web- Free & PaidTaxes shows the number first: what to set aside this quarter, from what has come in and gone out. The two things only you know, filing status and state, are set once. The full breakdown is there, closed.

Money in, and sending an invoice in three questions
Web- Free & PaidMoney in shows who owes you and what came in. Each invoice reads as a sentence with a date, and carries the one button it needs: Remind, Mark paid, or Send.

Money out and Miles, in plain words
Web- Free & PaidMoney out shows the month at the top, reads its filter as a sentence, and names each kind of receipt in plain words. Adding a receipt starts with the photo, and four fields stay in view.
- Free & PaidMiles shows what the year's driving is worth, asks its questions as sentences with two answers, and lets you label a trip business or personal right in the list.
A simpler menu, five words long
Web- Free & PaidFive words now carry the whole app: This week, Money in, Money out, Miles and Taxes. Everything else sits under More and moves into your menu the first time you use it. A few accounts have it first.

Support tickets now come from signed-in accounts

Removing your logo now clears it completely
Web- Free & PaidWhen you remove your logo, or when an account is deleted, the saved reference to the logo is now cleared along with the image file. Before this fix, the file was deleted while the reference to it remained.
Our privacy policy names every service that receives your data
Web- Free & PaidThe Privacy Policy now lists every service provider that receives your data, including Anthropic for AI reading of bills and bank transactions, Plaid for bank connections, and Google Maps for trip routing. It also states how quickly we tell you about a confirmed security vulnerability that affects your data: within five business days, and sooner when you need to act. The update is published in all nine languages.

Our availability commitment, published
Web- Free & PaidSavi Tools now publishes its availability commitment at getsavitools.com/availability: the monthly uptime target, backup and recovery objectives, and how we tell you about incidents. The wording states only what our infrastructure can evidence.
Fewer "try again" errors on the phone
Web- Free & PaidOpening a month with many trips loaded a map thumbnail for each one, and those loads counted against the same per-minute request budget as saving a trip or marking it Business or Personal. A busy screen could use up the budget and the next tap answered "Failed to classify trip. Please try again." Thumbnails, reads, and saves now have separate budgets. The change is on our servers, so the phone app needs no update.
Review your team's trips
Web- PaidIf you run a team, a drive a team member logged now takes Business or Personal from you the same way your own trips do, and you can resolve or edit it as well. Before this fix the trip appeared in your review list and every tap answered "Failed to classify trip." The change is on our servers, so the phone app needs no update.
A clearer AI connection screen
Web- Free & PaidWhen an AI assistant asks to connect, the approval screen now names the assistant when we can verify it (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot) and warns you plainly when we cannot. Approve only connections you started yourself.

Your data, locked down deeper
Web- Free & PaidWhen you delete your account, every stored file including your business logo is now verifiably removed. We found and fixed a case where a logo could be left behind, and we swept storage to remove any that were.
- Free & PaidMore of the database now refuses cross-account access outright, and signed W-9 details are encrypted even more thoroughly. These protections work underneath the app, so nothing changes in how you use it.
- Free & PaidConnected AI assistants are watched more sharply: unusual bursts of data access now trip the alarm no matter how the traffic is spread across our servers.
A second lock on your data
Web- Free & PaidEvery record you keep in Savi Tools is now also protected inside the database itself. Each table that holds customer data refuses to serve one account's rows to another, so even a software bug cannot cross that line.
Reports that always agree
Web- PaidEvery report, CSV download, and dashboard number now comes from one shared calculation. The same date range shows the same totals everywhere, and a download always matches the screen it came from.
- Free & PaidMileage is counted the same way across the app. Personal trips never add to your deduction totals.
- PaidAI assistant answers now state how each number was computed, including the accounting basis, so your assistant can explain your numbers instead of guessing.
